Auto Accidents
Modern cars, trucks, motorcycles, semi-trucks, boats, and bicycles have safety features to protect drivers and passengers. Nevertheless, if you are involved in a vehicle accident, you may suffer from broken bones, soft tissue injuries, strains, sprains, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), internal bleeding, organ damage, spinal cord injuries, and other severe trauma.
“Compensatory” damages are those that compensate you for your losses related to an accident. You may be able to recover both “economic” and “non-economic” compensatory damages.
Many people injured in auto accidents significantly undervalue the amount of their damages. An experienced personal injury lawyer better understands the many types of compensation you can get and can more accurately value your claim.

Wrongful Death
The sudden and unexpected loss of someone you love can be devastating. Children are denied the attention and affection of a parent, spouses adapt to lives without their partners, and families lose a critical source of financial support.
But when that death results from someone else’s carelessness, recklessness, or negligence, it leaves the survivors wanting answers and justice.
The wrongful death attorneys at Injury Smart Law will never fully appreciate the depth of your grief, nor can any amount of money replace a lost loved one. But because of our experience representing personal injury victims and families, we can offer you compassion, sensitivity, and the legal representation you need at this difficult time. And we’ll fight to hold accountable the people or companies that took your loved one and caused your pain.

Slip and Fall
The two situations in which property owners are held responsible for injuries or damages that happen on their property are:
- A Temporary Condition Not Created by the Property Owner
- A Hazard Created by the Property Owner
Property owners may be held responsible when the property owner creates the hazard. For example, if the property owner leaves an open hole or does not have guardrails on their stairs, then the property owner is much more likely to be held responsible.
At Bradley C. Harr, PC we have many trip and fall cases. We are happy to speak with you about your case and provide some insight about your possible claim. Call today for a free consultation.

Insurance Claims
There are two types of insurance that apply and they are discussed below: MedPay insurance and liability insurance.
Medical payments are often known as MedPay benefits, which is a great option if you don’t have health insurance. MedPay benefits are designed to provide some temporary relief and/or pay the medical bills from the accident. These benefits are typically offered in the amounts of $1,000.00 up to $5,000.00. You can get this optional MedPay coverage through homeowners or renters insurance.
The second type of insurance that applies is liability insurance, commonly referred to as “Homeowners Insurance”. The liability insurance will cover the individual who is liable for the accident. Keep in mind that the insurance will not cover the injuries if the person is not liable.

Dog Bites
We have all heard the saying, “dogs are a man’s best friend.” This is resoundingly true throughout the United States and in Utah. However, when a person’s best friend attacks, who is responsible? Most dogs, unless trained to be, do not have vicious tendencies and, in general, are unlikely to cause serious damage when properly restrained.
However, due to the growing number of dogs and dog owners, dogs bite. In these cases, most states have strict liability laws that state the owner is always liable for the injuries their dog inflicted, regardless of the situation. If you have been bitten by a dog and sustained injury, you need to hold the owner responsible. The Utah dog bite lawyers at Injury Smart Law are here to help you recover the compensation you deserve.
